SURF

The Oaxaca Coast is presented as the ideal setting for surfing, which requires specific weather conditions that form enormous waves.

The strong waves will be generated thanks to a phenomenon of currents in the Pacific Ocean, causing waves with heights of up to seven meters. To enjoy this magnitude, adequate air and heat conditions are required that develop the wall and the foam progressively to the right. or to the left and that shape the tubes that are ideal for practicing this water sport.

Where is Oaxaca?

Oaxaca is one of the largest states in Mexico. It's in the southwest of the country, with a huge coastline that runs roughly east to west and then bends a bit to the north. The main city is Oaxaca City, famous for its indigenous culture and food. That's about six hours on the bus in total. A more convenient way to travel is with a connecting flight to Oaxaca from CDMX and then a transfer to the coast from there. If you're booking a surf camp in Oaxaca, it's worth asking for help with all of that.
